Oktoberfest in SK22! From 30th September to 4th October 2026, New Mills Market Hall is hosting the town's first-ever Oktoberfest, and by the sound of it they're not doing it by halves.

This isn't a one-night ticket-only thing, it's a full programme you can dip in and out of. Across the five days there's themed dining evenings, quiz nights, a Brass, Bratwurst & Beer session, and a proper Frühschoppen for one day or do the full stretch, stein in hand.

A Brass Band, 600 Miles From Home

Saturday 3rd October will see the Alsfeld Brass Band arrive after a 600-mile coach journey from Alsfeld, New Mills' twin town in Germany since 1962. It's a genuinely nice bit of local history behind the fun after decades of twinning, celebrated with a proper Millers welcome for a coach full of guests who’ll travel a long way for a pint.
