The Jane Eyre to open Stockport restaurant
Whilst the building work wraps up, another exciting indie has been added to the hospitality line-up at the highly anticipated new Weir Mill complex. The Jane Eyre has been confirmed as the latest resident, bringing their popular dining experience to the new Stockport riverside location.
You may already be familiar with The Jane Eyre if you’ve had the pleasure of visiting one of their two existing locations in Ancoats or Chorlton. Known for their classic cocktail serves, locally produced ales, Mediterranean-inspired small plates and signature Sunday roasts, the restaurant will be a very welcome addition to Stockport’s town centre food offering.
Having already made their mark in neighbourhood-led destinations in Manchester’s Ancoats and Chorlton, the team will bring a blend of experience and genuine passion for hospitality, with every detail considered from the menu to the overall ambience and aesthetic.
Co-founder and local Charlie Bradley is equally excited about the new location:
"We’re really proud to be opening at Weir Mill. Stockport is home for us, and we’ve always believed in it – so to be part of a project like this feels very special. Everything we do is about creating something guests want to return to – from warm, welcoming hospitality to thoughtful food and drink, done simply, in a space that feels right from the minute you walk in. Weir Mill is exactly the kind of neighbourhood we want to be part of, and we’re beyond excited to bring The Jane Eyre home."
Courtesy of developer Capital&Centric, the wider Weir Mill project is transforming the old industrial mill buildings next to the Viaduct into a mixed-use neighbourhood and community. It’s shaping up to be quite the destination with a strong team sheet already, and its close proximity to the town centre and transport hubs. Sitting alongside the earlier announced Prologue and Rita Ray’s, The Jane Eyre is likely to become a firm favourite for diners in Stockport when it opens later this year.
