Makers Market, Stockport

  • Market Place Stockport, England United Kingdom (map)

One of Stockport's best free days out is back on Saturday 10th October. From 10am to 4pm, The Makers Market takes over Market Place, right in the heart of SK1, with 65+ independent traders selling handmade goods, artisan food and one-off finds against the backdrop of Stockport's old market town buildings.

Think craft, ceramics, prints, jewellery, candles, street food, and the kind of things you won't find anywhere else. It's a good chance to get some early Christmas shopping done too. Entry's free, it's dog-friendly and there's seating on-site, so you can take your time having a mooch around and supporting local producers and artists.

Getting there: Stockport Interchange is the nearest bus stop, about a 12-minute walk away. There are cycle racks on-site. Parking nearby is limited, so check Parkopedia for the closest spaces.
