One of Stockport's best free days out lands in the town centre on the second Saturday of every month.
The Makers Market takes over Market Place right in the heart of SK1 with around 70 independent traders selling handmade goods, artisan food and creations against the backdrop of Stockport's historic market architecture.
Stalls set up for the day selling ceramics, prints, jewellery, candles, street food, and unique gifts. It's free to get in, dog-friendly, and there's seating on-site.
Upcoming dates for 2026: 9 May, 13 June, 11 July, 8 August, 12 September, 10 October, 14 November, 12 December.
Getting there: The nearest bus stop is Stockport Interchange (around a 12-minute walk). Cycle racks are available on-site. Limited parking nearby.
