The annual Stockport Autumn Fayre is back at the Town Hall on Halloween, which makes it a pretty good excuse to get out of the house before the trick-or-treating starts.
Inside the Wedding Cake you'll find stalls from local makers selling handmade crafts and gifts. It's a good place to get a head start on Christmas shopping and actually buy local for once, instead of panic-ordering everything online in the second week of December (I'm saying this to myself as much as anyone...).
Bringing the kids? There's story time and a silent disco, plus other family activities across the day. If you're going for the silent disco, I'd get there early before the queue for headphones builds up.
It's run by Stockport Events, so keep an eye on @stockportevents or the Facebook event page for stallholder announcements and any changes on the day.
