After a two year break, Krazy Races is returning to Stockport, and this time it's in partnership with Totally Stockport BID. Mark Sunday 9th August in the diary for a full day of homemade soapbox karts, questionable engineering and a genuine crowd-pleaser of a spectacle around St Peter's Square.

The format hasn't changed since it last graced SK. Amateur teams build their own karts and race them downhill along a 350m course loaded with chicanes, obstacles and water splashes. Speed isn't the only thing on the table either, there are prizes for Best Dressed, Best Design and Best Showmanship too, so plenty of teams go all in on the theatrics as much as the timing. It all comes down to a knockout, with only the fastest 10 karts making it through to the final.

Expect street food, drink and entertainment running alongside the racing, and it's free to watch as a spectator.
