Where to watch the World Cup in Stockport

Your Stockport World Cup Guide is here. If you’re looking for a ‘fan zone’ experience or a great pub with a big screen, these are the venues where you can soak up the atmosphere this summer.

Edgeley Park Fan Zone

16 Hardcastle Road, Edgeley, SK3 9DD

For the closest thing to a stadium atmosphere you'll find in SK, Stockport County are hosting a World Cup Fan Zone in the courtyard at Edgeley Park. It's ticketed at £5 entry and comes with 12 giant screens, live music, and American, Canadian and Mexican-inspired street food vendors. It’s basically a mini festival and all England games will be shown with group stage coverage running from 6pm to midnight. Tickets are on sale now.

Bask

20 Railway Road, SK1 3SW

Bask are showing all the games and promise all the atmosphere with live commentary on the PA. Entry will be free throughout the tournament. .

The Armoury

31 Shaw Heath, SK3 8BD

The Armoury are bringing in an extra screen for the tournament and promising plenty of seating. They're also showing the Women's Qualifiers this week, and drinks offers will be announced closer to the time.

Highballer

10-11 Market Place, SK1 1EWGet directions

Highballer are installing two screens as well as showing it on the main stage and are already taking table bookings with packages available, just ask at the bar. They'll also be opening on Tuesdays and Wednesdays especially for the England games.

Loft Social

25 Bridge Street, Travis Brow, SK1 1XY

Loft Social are putting on a special ticketed event for England v Croatia on 17th June with table service if that’s more your vibe, England v Panama has already sold out on Saturday 27th. The bar will be open as usual for England V Ghana on 27th.

The Underbank

27 Great Underbank, Stockport SK1 1LN

The Underbank will be open 7 days a week from the 11th June and will be showing every single game throughout the tournament.

Red Bull

14 Middle Hillgate, Stockport SK1 3AY

Red Bull on Hillgate will be hosting screenings of the England Games.

Odioba

26 Lower Hillgate, Stockport SK1 1JE

Stockport’s favourite listening bar will be pulling up the screens and showing the England qualifier games from Wednesday 17th, if you’re looking to watch England with a more mellow vibe.

Produce Hall

24A Market Place, Stockport SK1 1EU

The Produce Hall will be screening all the England games with commentary on a huge projector screen in the hall and also showing most of the other games (within licensing times) so you can dip in and out as you please and enjoy a good scran while you watch the match.

Savoy Theatre

105 Heaton Moor Rd, Heaton Moor, Stockport SK4 4HY

Fancy being a bit boujie and elevating your game experience, then The Savoy Cinema in Heaton Moor is broadcasting every England match live for the World Cup on their 30-foot screen. Tickets cost £5 per match, and the fully licensed bar remains open throughout the games
